Hi there,
I am new to Geeklog and look foward to using it because it has alot of really nice features and I like the way it's done, but there are problems.
1.) When install is complete the success page is blank, what's that about?
2.) No matter what I have done when I run check.php it still gets an error stating that the log files are unwritable.
Has anyone had this trouble before or am I doing something stupid and screwing it up somewhere.
Thanks. I would really like to get this working and start enjoying all that geeklog has to offer and spreading the word of it's joy.

For the log file, you need to Chmod the geeklog/logs directory to 777 (or 775 depents on how you server configured by your host).
The blank page could be because you didn't set the paths in the config.php and lib-common.php correctly.

You beat me by 1 minute. You must be from the East Coast.
BTW, got an answer for my question? Re: checking the group access right?

I'm not from the east coast.
And shilling your own topics in different threads? For shame! But yeah, I do have an answer for you... in your thread!

If the directory and files are both 777, then it is something with your host that is the problem. They might not let the webserver process edit files in that directory. Is it under your web root? Some hosts don't let you edit files like that unless they are somewhere under the root web directory.
If that's not it, you might have to chown the files and directories to be owned by the user under which the web server runs. I would check with your hosting provider just to be sure.
