Hello.

Can someone tell me how to disable left blocks in forum. I'd like forum to be through whole "width" of the page.

Thanks

Tthis can be done by opening your forum index.php and replacing COM_siteHeader with COM_siteHeader ('none').

Note, you may want to place a link to your home page in the top menu if you do this! See the faq entry on this site for more information on adding items to the top menu.

Yes, that worked, but only in forum (home). But when I go to "topic", left menu blocks appear.
I tried to solve this by putting 'none' to COM_siteFooter, but that didn't work either.

Opps sorry, you'll have to do the same to viewtopics.php etc!

You better do a full text search for COM_siteHeader in your public_html/forum folder. AFAIR there are about 10 files where it appears and you should do the change in all the ones you need.

Great, that worked just fine. Thanks.

Now I have one more question. How can I put "Search This Forum" and "Select a Forum" into diferent look. I changed forum_outline_header.thtml and forum_outline_footer.thtml to look like blocks on the left and right site and now I have 2 blocks- one for "Search This Forum" and "Select a Forum" and one for "forum".
Can this be changed or can I at least put it on the bottom of the page.

Hmm... so nobody knows?! OK.
Than can at least someone tell me, how to erase "Search This Forum" and "Select a Forum". Or how can I put it at the bottom of the page.
Thanks.

Edit the templatefiles that have the html.
Look through the folder Forum under your current theme.
templates are named *.thtml

Another alternative would be using the collapseable menu's that was just developed by Turias.
check it out here. this gives the user control over the left and right blocks.

OR

Hmm... so nobody knows?! OK.

-bash-2.05b$ grep COM_siteHeader /path/to/geeklog/public_html/forum/*
createtopic.php:echo COM_siteHeader();
gf_userprefs.php:echo COM_siteHeader();
index.php:echo COM_siteHeader();
memberlist.php:echo COM_siteHeader();
moderation.php:echo COM_siteHeader();
notify.php:echo COM_siteHeader();
print.php: echo COM_siteHeader();
print.php: echo COM_siteHeader();
print.php: echo COM_siteHeader();
sm_memberlist.php: echo COM_siteHeader();
viewtopic.php: echo COM_siteHeader();
viewtopic.php: echo COM_siteHeader();

Change all those to COM_siteHeader('none'); i believe?
or false? I can't honestly remember.
