I have been following the geeklog sites, and I was wondering if you can not allow instant members say by having it go through an admin authority such as your file uploads, where the admin has to ok them to be added to the site.

Or, can you remove the link for membership from the index pages and send it via email to a person wanting to register.

It is part of Geeklog's features.

I do not want to remove the block for those not logged in, but more the link to the registration.
(as the user.php page also has this link to registration)
