Geeklog Forums

OK, I searched the forums and could not find anyone else who apparently wanted this ability. So I am concluding that I am such a NOOB it is easy to set up or my squad are the only ones using geeklog. The last squad I was with used phpNuke and it had the functionality built-in.

Anyway, I am looking to allow users to enter their ICQ number in their profile so it will show up as user info on the forums. Is that possible? I am sure it is, but maybe I should ask if it is easy. I am such a PHP NOOB it is pretty funny. I got a guy who works for me who understands it, but I am trying to learn and he is off for a few days.

You can do this by installing Blaine's forum plugin and then reading the section of the forum documentation on extending the user profile. It will let your users enter their location, interests and occupation, as well as the following IM accounts: AIM, ICQ, MSN, YIM.
