I'm basically offering geeklog hosting, troubleshooting, and mod creation. I also offer low cost setup for outside accounts. I've done a lot of modifications for iantiquesguide.com, installed their forum, and was responsible for upgrading the cms in the past. I give credit to Geeklog and don't try to present the system as my own, but repeatedly say it's open-source. If I don't fix it, I don't accept payment. I currently accept paypal, but I'm working on getting a merchant account. For more reasons why I feel I'd be a good choice, please see the link titled 'affordably' on the main page. If you have any comments or suggestions on how I can improve my website, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thank you for your time.

First thing that caught my eye was the over stretched Paypal box in the upper right corner. Also, the homepage looks fine but the text on the other pages looks too close to the nav. buttons. Change those tables to 100% with 5-10 padding. Or just fill that empty space on the right with info. Make your text a fontsize smaller on the navigation pages and lose the table border on the hosting page for the features. Make the features more readable with a nice format, maybe bullets or color. Not a big fan of the page title fonts either. Mr. Green Just my 2 cents. Other than that looks nice.

First thing that caught my eye: It may sound old-fashioned but if I offer a service wich includes some kind of trust and want people to pay for that service, I would log in at the "motherboard" (here) as a member and not anonymous.

my 2 cents is in canadian funds so keep that in mind... Razz

i thought your site looked kinda cool, like "bob the builder" or something. but, you need to tell your potential clients a bit more about what they will encounter with gl not just the service--perhaps a few more examples of geeklog sites would do the trick. put the theme tester on yours for show. maybe put some content on your gl site so that it looks like it is being used.

maybe even use gl for your own homepage with those pages as static, wrapped or not... then your clients could see the potential in it. just a thought.

Thanks for the compliment! I made the page, no template. BTW, if you know anyone who might want a site designed, I would be glad to help. Now to your suggestions, I added some articles and a forum to make it look more active and to serve as a copy of the main site. I also added examples of good geeklog sites and a section for geeklog features to let people know what to expect. I installed a theme tester so people can see the different themes also. I'm thinking of using it as my homepage but I'm not sure if people would respond as quickly since so many sites use the same theme. I'll look into building the system around the main site. Thank you so much for your suggestions! I hope I can find some people to use my service. Now I'm going to offer free domains for the 1st year through godaddy with paid hosting. Wink
