smilie help please

confused
I've searched all over the site but can't find why my smilies dont show up in the forum. They show as ""..not the actual smilie.

Can someone point me in the right direction of what I'm doing wrong?

New install or upgraded?

Check that you are allowing HTML in the forum settings.

Hello,

It's a new install via a recently updated Fantastico.

I tried enabling the forum html and still not working.

I had "Enable Geeklog filtering of HTML" set to yes. Changed to no and now they work. I knew I was over looking some small detail.
