I am new to GL, and I am looking for an index of all available plugins -- does such an index exist? I looked through the downloads section here, but it seems that there are plugins available from developer sites and sourceforge that are not listed here. Does a "master" index exist? Please forgive me if I have overlooked the obvious.

The first place I would look is Squatty. Squatty keeps perhaps the most complete collection around of plugins and themes.

Then visit Blaine at Portal Parts. Blaine is the most active plugin author at the moment.

Then My Site Gplugs. My plugins are a little out of date since I do not have time to support and upgrade them, but many are still good nonetheless. For some even older ones look at the download link at my site. There I have archived several older plugins and hacks.

That should give you access to about 90% of the plugins.

Note to current plugin authors. If you want to advertise your plugins or find a place for them to reside contact either Squatty or myself. If anyone wants to take over any of my plugins, and update them -- please do.
