There doesn't seem to be an html template for the Upcoming Events Block. So I can't change the font colors for event day name and date on the block without hacking code. I'd like to comment out the function for Upcoming Events in lib-common and copy it to lib-custom. Then I'd like to add a class statement to the text in the block so I can change colors without touching code each time. Unfortunately, in the lib-common code for the Upcoming Event block the day name and date are being read into $retval like this:



How can I add something like class="dayname" and class="date" to these statements so that they respond to the proper entry in the style.css file?
