for the variable {datetime} in the templates I can change $_CONF['date'] but the documentation does not tell me how to change the variable {story_date}

Does anyone know how? Thanks

I found out as long as I keep default time view as system default it'll use the $_conf['date'] variable.

story_date uses the user's preferred date format (what they selected in their preferences), or $_CONF['date'], if they select "System Default".
