All,
I installed the PHPMyChat plugin for GL this afternoon and the install went perfectly. I tested it out as a user and was able to access the chatrooms with no problems. However I had two of my users leave messages for me telling me that they can't get into the chatrooms. They click on the chatroom they want to enter, they see another window come up and then it closes and thats all they see. I made sure to check that they were logged into the site and that they didn't have popup stoppers are something like that enabled. I'm stumped because I've tested the site from two different locations and computers and it works fine for me. Anybody else have this problem?

Well I figured out it was my users on AOL that were getting this issue. Since nobody responded to me on this forum I did some digging and found this.
"I finally found it. Here it is....

This did help me with some of myu users. Seems like older AOL clients still have issues but I'm not going to spend more time with it, they'll have to ditch AOL or upgrade to the latest client.

BTW: In case anybody else hasn't noticed phpheaven.net is absolutely useless as far as geting help with phpmychat . I found this Yahoo group though that has been extremely helpful with phpmychat support. They also have a ton of cool hacks and tricks there.

My users also experienced problems with not being able to get into chat room. But the problem turned out to be user names (login names) with spaces in them. Onces the space or spaces were removed, they were able to get in just fine.

There doesn't appear to be a way to contact the author of this plugin so I can't report it to him/her.

Other than this, it seems to work just fine.
