I am not the above anonymous user..
but I recieved the same error this evening when attempting to install (1st time user here) geeklog. I have gone through all of the steps listed in the install documentation but then ran across this error.
My name is Hans and you can reach me at dev31258@bellsouth.net. I will check back on this topic later and will attempt to solve the problem myself. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Err, I just read the response given by Dirk to the first anonymous user. So I'll repost with more information.
I was attempting to install Geeklog 1.3.9sr1 onto a windows2000 server (not by choice.. believe me) and using Cuteftp pro as my ftp client. I was unable to chmod the files to 775, rather they are stuck at 777. I am not installing it in the central dir, I do not want to over-write the content that is available currently. I am looking to set it up in a test dir from which it can be migrated to the central dir at a later point.
I was running the install.php (or trying to do so) when the error immediately came up
I'm sure that I am doing something wrong.. but I'm going to fool with this a bit longer to see if I can't get it fixed.
Thanks Hans
