re: want to run 5-6 sites using one database to share a pool of articles

Is there someone out there who can help me with this.
i want to run 5 to 6 geeklog site each with their own articles and sections as well as shared sections so the same articles appear on all the 6 sites within that template.
I've read a bit about it - how difficult is this to setup and maintain? is geeklog the best choice.
