It just wont work!!
I dont know what ive done wrong, I follow the instructions and get as far as updating the config.php file and the other one.
I then try to run the install.php like it says, but it doesnt bring up a page at all.
My install.php file is located in
/home/lawks/public_html/geeklog-1.3.9sr1/public_html/admin/install/install.php
I dont know whether its because i installed all of this with my original public_html folder, but i cant get the website link for it. I chmodded all those files it told you to do, so unless something is wrong there i have absolutely no idea. :-(

Any messages in error.log?
What did you actually put in lib-common.php as the path to your config.php? This /home/lawks/public_html/geeklog-1.3.9sr1/ ?
What about other paths in config.php?
Would you mind to post a link to your www where you're trying to set up Geeklog?

Uhh... I'm assuming this is a new install...
everything in your /home/lawks/public_html/geeklog-1.3.9sr1/ folder should be moved to /home/lawks/. This will give you (hopefully) a proper layout as it's likely that your host has /home/lawks/public_html/ configured as your webroot. (where index.php should exist). the config.php file will end up living in /home/lawks/. Edit your config.php and lib-common.php accordingly.
in /home/lawks/config.php:
Text Formatted Code
$_CONF['path'] = '/home/lawks/';
in /home/lawks/public_html/lib-common.php:
Text Formatted Code
require_once( '/home/lawks/config.php' );
Good Luck.
