Hi,

I disabled the left block, so it doesn't show up when someone visits the forum by changing COM_siteHeader() to COM_siteHeader('none').. this to decrease the load time. But now I wonder if it's possible to use the User Functions Menu outside the left block (which I disabled) so Users can still login/logout and access their Forum Featurs..

Maybe it's nice to make it possible to add as many left and right blocks as you want, so you can choose what block you want to show when someone access a given topic.. (leftblock_news, leftblock_forum, leftblock_articles, leftblock_staticpage1, leftblock_staticpage2, (as well as the rightblocks) etc.) When your users access the News topic, you may want to show a different left block and when they acces the Forum another one..

For example: in my case I would enable for the leftblock_forum the User Functions Menu only..

Is it worth submitting this as a feature request.. if Dirk thinks it's very likely that's it's not going to be added I won't submit..

You could always hard-code the link to the User Functions somewhere in, say, the forum templates or your header.thtml.
