No journal was passed to function journalentryeditor

I installed the journal plugin, but there seems to be something wrong.
I can make a new Journal and add an entry. However when I attempt to add another entry I get this error:
or if I try to edit a journal that has already been made I get this error:

Here is something interesting.
The above errors only seem to happen on my admin account. A general user can edit and add new entries to the same journal.

I came across the same problem with my site recently, and I noticed when I have two journals, it works just fine. So in the interim till i get around to finding the bug in the code that causes that, I just create a second journal for the moment while I write a new journal entry in the first journal, then just go back and delete the second journal.
