I've installed geeklog before and not had too many troubles but this time is really bizzare.

When Step 2 page comes up, there is no "Next" button only a text box with ""Next" in it that I cannot click. Also, consistently when I run check.php I get an error "An SQL error has occured. Please see error.log for details." and in the error log it shows "Sun Jun 27 17:44:02 2004 - 1146: Table 'casca004.gl_sessions' doesn't exist. SQL in question: DELETE FROM gl_sessions WHERE remote_ip = '130.76.32.145' AND uid = 1 " which would be correct because the tables are not created yet.

I initially used Winzip and downloaded via FTP, but while I was reading the documentation it suggests not using WinZip so I downloaded WinRAR and downloaded it all to the site using Frontpage (Only way to do it from work because of the firewall). I do not have Telnet access to the webserver. I am stumped...

Sounds like register_globals are off - the php setting for the webserver.

Turned them off and things are getting better! more to come...
