mySQL Question

I set up a new GL site with latest code, my old site runs gl 1.3.7 or .8 not sure anyway...

When I upgrade the database alot of the pages just give an error "An SQL error has occured. Please see error.log for details." I look at the log and says somthing about InnoDB, I go to their site look up my code and place it in my "my.ini" same error ????

My question is this:
Maybe I can create a new GL database and just import my users 354 Users.. I dont mind re-creating the stories etc.. cause I like the fresh clean DB

can somone give me a easy directon...to start with
to just import my users..thank You

Copy the tables from the old database and paste it over the new install worked just fine..

After I did what I mentioned above the users became stale and unable to log in, even creating a demo password abd pasting the encrypt keys in other users password field.

So I hooked up the OLD site again, saved the database from within GL. Went to mySQL Control Center and opened up the "new" database, went to SQL console imported in the "old saved" database as a .sql file, this way is the correct way because it doesnt overwrite anything it just adds all your old sites content to your new sites database.

Now all I am missing is a Chatterbox 3.0 error and I am missing the "total hits to the system" number.

If anyone knows the correct table for the Total hits? thank you

When I upgrade the database (...)

Well, you should be sure which version you were running before, as you need to specify that when running the upgrade script ...

I'd suggest restoring your backup and running the install script in upgrade mode again - and make sure you're selecting the correct version from which you're upgrading.

bye, Dirk
