Some advice please concerning RSS feeds (I think)

Hi, I was hoping someone could give me a few pointers.

I'm not a programmer by any means, although I am quite technical and can follow instructions (fairly well).

At work, our lovely proxy/firewall/hatedthingfromhell bans lots of sites that I'd like to keep up to date with, not porn, but sports sites and anything with the word hack in it seems to get banned. So far GeekLog has escaped a ban.

I was thinking that if I made some pages that showed RSS feeds from the sites I wanted, and had them as pages on my site (which has been excluded from the bans due to my unashamed begging) I could keep up to date that way, even though I couldn't click the links, I would hopefully have the text from the stories? Make sense so far?

How do I make a page like that. I have had a poke through previous forum questions, and have seen a couple of suggestions, but didn't see a "preferred" way to do this with GeekLog, or perhaps I am missing a really easy way to do this. I have experimented with the RSS blocks and they work fine, but need to be clicked to read the detail.

If anyone can help with some advice, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks for reading!
