Have a look at this annotated image that I have created tonight to help explain the geeklog directory structure and a plugin installation.

Let me know if this helps. I will be adding this to the geeklog documentation project but thought I'd get some feedback here first. This is not meant to replace the plugin install directions but to compliment them.

Very nice. I wonder if "pubic_html" might have another name though

Also, public_html is sometimes called www, httpd, etc. so it might help to include those.

Cheers,

Euan.

I have added a new how-to document to the GL Documentation Project to explain how to install a plugin. I have used pictures as that really helps in the explanation of terminology and a new process.

This is a great project that Tom started and it's very easy to upload and reference the images. I encourage, no challenge more site admin's and users to contribute.

The link to the new page is: here

Please let me know if this does not help new GL siteadmin's and remove the mystery and confusion.
