Access Rights--I don't get it!

I have installed GeekLog successfully, the first out of five weblogs that worked on PHP5.
However, I just don't get the access rights! How does it work??
This is what I want to do:
Have 3 Topics:
News - FAQ - Profiles
with these permissions:
News: every logged in user can post stories here
FAQ: Only the admin can post stories here
Profiles: every logged in user can post here.
Whatever I try to setup, a logged in user can either post a story to the FAQ topic, or the FAQ topic does not show up at all (neither to read nor to write to).
How can that be done???

You can't. Geeklog's philosophy is that when you can see a topic, you can post stories there.
Read-only topics are on the "wishlist" but haven't been implemented yet.
bye, Dirk
