To prevent getting mixed up, can we have a list of who uses what language strings for their plugins?
$LANG_GF forum
$LANG_FM file management
$LANG_EW ewiki
$LANG_STATIC static pages
$LANG_THINGS things to do
$LANG_GLINKS glinks
The reason being, I'd like to shorten the array names for things and glinks, but I'm not sure what is in use and what isn't.
Cheers,
Euan.

I don't really follow what you are trying to do. I have about 20 plugins and many LANGuage arrays being used. I don't want to to have dependencies on the variable names with another plugin - that's not a good idea.
If you are trying to use the native Language wording for some these plugin features - such as name. Then you probally need to be looking at using a facility like done with the Plugin API.
Publish a glinks API that if added to the assocaiated plugin will return to glinks what your looking for. You can then add these plugin functions in your own glinks functions.inc file. Maybe something along those lines but I don't necessarily know what your trying to do so this may just be noise

Hi Blaine,
No, I was trying to avoid just that kind of mixup with arrays. I was thinking as I was working on the things to do plugin, that $LANG_THINGS was a little long - perhaps I could shorten it to $LANG_TT or something. But I was not sure whether someone else might have made a Toilet Training plugin that also used that string, so to avoid complications, I thought it would be useful to know what other developers were using.
Cheers,
Euan.
