How to add an image in an article?

Hello,
is there a way to insert a link (ahref) to display an image inside of an article (I mean in the "special geeklog block) ? I have seen that the only way is to attach an image... why?
If I try to insert the link for an image, the html code is deleted when I save and then reopen the article...

This has been discussed several times here. Try searching the forum for images, img etc. Mainly this limitation is for security reasons.

First of all you gotta add img to allowable html markup in the config.php.
