Hello all,
I have looked through the forums, both at geeklog and squatty, and can't find the answer. Lots of posts by people saying they have worked it and thats it, nothing actualy posted as to what they did to remedy the prob...

anyway my problem is....
after installing the Gallery Random Photo block v1.2 I get this error..

Warning: fopen(/home/?????????/public_html/gallery/randomblock/block-random.cache): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/??????????/public_html/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 55

The block still works and displays a photo. If pos I would like a fix that doesn't just turn down the error logging to hide to errors please.

Looks pretty simple to me. The webserver does not have permission to open and or write to:

(/home/?????????/public_html/gallery/randomblock/block-random.cache

change the permissions/ownership on that file so that the webserver can open and write to it.

I have the same problem. When I change the perms. I end up with a
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() onl line 97 of block-random.php

I have read the install.txt and it does address this but I still can't fix it?

As you can see the thing works but there is just this error everytime the page opens.???

I just need to name the the cache_file path /tmp/block-random.cache/
