upgrading 1.38 - 1.3.9

i have currently develop a website of other people left. he use 1.3.8 b4.. n now since 1.3.9 has released.. i wan to upgrade it.. but, i'm still a bit not familiar with this upgrade thing.. aafraid i might loose all the data, pages etc that my fren develop b4.. any upgrade guide for me?.. i got no problem with the installation og new geeklog.. but to upgrade.. it makes my balls squeeze if failed..

dun get mad.. huhuhuh~ . how about all my plugins? especially mycal calender which is 1.3.8.. need to change it to 1.3.9 version mycal?

Plugins (real plugins - those that use the plugin API) should usually be upwards-compatible. The same applies for blocks and everything in your lib-custom.php.

Extensions that required modifications of Geeklog's core files will usually not work until you do those modifications again (obviously).
