I want to add 2 databases to my site. 1 for US Fleamarkets and the other for Antique dealers. At the moment I have these as lists on my site. I want to make them into databases that visitors can add their info to. Is there qa way to do this? or has anyone seen something similar?
Thanks in advance,
Jack

you would do well to write a plugin for this kindof thing. any of the many would make a good example for you to follow.

the basic idea is that you need an HTML form for getting user input>PHP backend to insert the data into the tables you've prepared in your database>a little bit more PHP to retrieve the data and display it on another HTML page.--simple

you could do the plugin or you could just use a PHP enabled static page. either way, you can control who adds, deletes, edits, etc. , using GL's user tables and perms.

It is just like a guest book. a user enters data, it is stored, and later retrieved, and finally displayed. so like I said, most plugins developed already will show you the way as they all have those basic principles going on. <shamelessplug>kinda like the index page of the dailyquote plugin that lists all the entries that users have submitted.</shamelessplug>
