Removing required fields

Hi, I'm trying to get rid of the required fields in various functionalities. For the calendar, i don't want to have to input the description. Is there a common file somewhere where there are variables to disable as required?

You'll have to hack Geeklog to do that. See submit.php and admin/event.php
