I've got a general question about the visibility of blocks to already existing users. I've done the following:

1. I activated the Poll-Plugin and created a new poll.
2. I NOT permitted reading to anonymous and saved

So now my questions:

a. Is it true that every existing user has to activate this block in his settings? Is there a way that I can activate it for all users?
b. I changed my mind and permitted reading to everyone (anonymous) but the poll isn't shown on the front page if no user is logged in. What is wrong here

I signed on to your site and see what you mean. I think you have not set the correct priviliges in either Poll's or Block's. You have to grant read rights to anonymous users in both.

Through your admin block Select Blocks. Select the Poll Block and make sure to grant read rights to members and anonymous users.

Through your admin block Select Polls. Select the appropriate Poll and make sure to grant read rights to members and anonymous users. That should do it. If that doesn't work create another block as a test, grant anonymous users read rights and see if anonymous users can see it.
