I'm trying to make one of my GL sites (www.zutphenpromotie.nl) valid HTML. That's proceeding allright but the validator says there a wrong list tag:
Line 115, column 3: document type does not allow element "LI" here; missing one of "UL", "OL", "DIR", "MENU" start-tag
<li><a />
The source of the top of this calendarblock on the homepage:
114: <b>Evenementen</b><br><br><b>zondag</b> 12-sep - <br><b>dinsdag</b> 12-okt
115: <li><a href="http://www.zutphenpromotie.nl/calendar_event.php?eid=20040912233609290">www.zutphenpromotie.nl gaat van start!</a></li>

117:
I can't find the template/file which generates this piece of code. Who can help me out?

If you add the outer tag, the ul or ol, you will need to add some css as well because all your li's will get pushed away from their left margin and make a mess of your block.
It's my hunch that it is why they were left that way.
either way, I dunno where the template file is, or if it isn't just hardcoded into the php--sorry

All the lists are created using the list.thtml and listitem.thtml template files.
Some of the lists are buffered (e.g. the Older Stories block), so you'll have to refresh those before you see a change.
bye, Dirk

Yes, it was the listitem.thtml. Commented out the li tags, added a dot character and a nbsp and the site is valid HTML+CSS. Thanks, Dirk!
