Several users of my site have asked me if there is a way to alert someone who they see in the online list. I've done this in the past with my own content management system (at my work) so I know it can be done. The questions is, has it been done for GL and is it available for download?

All I need is a way for someone to select an online user, then enter a small message, and then have that message pop up in an alert box on the other user's browser the next time they refresh their browser.

You may be wondering why they want this. So they can ask another person on the site to join them in a realtime chat, of course.
