Calendar event not showing from to properly

I can't seem to figure this one out either. Other than changing the COM_SiteFooter(true) I haven't touched anything else in the code, but the events are showing up as

instead of
Saturday, October 16 2004 @ 7:00 PM - 11:45 PM

Just to let everyone know - I uploaded fresh copies of calendar.php and calendar_event.php. I also Uploaded a fresh copy of the XSilver theme to see if it was the theme I was working on. It still doesn't show up properly.

Fixed it. I had changed the date format in config.php to just be the date without time.
Where would I modify the code so that the welcome_msg and stories on have the date and everything else has the time?
I realize I'll probably have to create a new variable, but not sure how I should go about coding it.
