I have a dark colored theme for my forum which hasn't even gone live yet, but since it is a dark background color there is an ugly white "ring" around all of the icons. Does anybody know where I can find new/different icons?? Or maybe where Blaine got them to begin with?? Thankx,

At least some of the forum icons are "borrowed" from phpBB. So try searching for phpBB icons.

For future reference, yes, they look to be from phpBB2 (those also look kind of ragged on a dark background). They won't look that way if the background-color for .forumclass1 is changed to #EFEFEF. If anyone tries that, they might also want to change the .forumTitle background to #CFCFCF or something darker that matches their overall color scheme.

You should photoshop them like I did.
