One of the sites that I host didn't know how to change their site title and slogan. So I assumed I could change this for them in the config.php file of their geeklog site. And their site is now destroyed (hopefully only temporarily with your help) because of it. They are very upset with me, of course, for killing their site, and they said that they've had to destroy and reinstall their site 4 times after they edited things in the config.php file. Luckily for them, this was before their site had members and content. Now it is an active site and I've ruined it, and can't seem to fix it, it seems like anything I do now is only going to make it worse!

Here are the errors I'm getting when going to their site (opkhost.com):

Warning: main(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/opkhost/public_html/system/classes/timer.class.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/akanamon:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/akanamon/public_html/lib-common.php on line 114

Warning: main(/home/opkhost/public_html/system/classes/timer.class.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /home/akanamon/public_html/lib-common.php on line 114

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/opkhost/public_html/system/classes/timer.class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/akanamon/public_html/lib-common.php on line 114

Please if any one can help me with this, they have agreed to allow outside help permissions to their control panel to repair this file.

Thanks!

Did you change any paths? As the error message states, the server is set up such that it only allows files in /home/akanamon but it's searching them in /home/opkhost instead.

So either you've confused 2 accounts there (opkhost and akanamon) or someone changed something in the server's configuration (which wouldn't have anything to do with Geeklog) ...

bye, Dirk

Thank you...

You're right, I did change/confuse those

So, I got the site back up... But at the top of the page these errors appear now:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/akanamon/public_html/config.php:656) in /home/akanamon/public_html/system/lib-sessions.php on line 185

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/akanamon/public_html/config.php:656) in /home/akanamon/public_html/system/lib-sessions.php on line 197

...............................................

What must I do now to fix this?

Thanks!
