Upgraded a working 1.3.9sr1 to 1.3.9sr2 tonight, and now nested comments (replies to comments) return a blank page. I even rev'ed comment.php back to the 1.3.9sr1 version, and still the same behavior.
Any call to comment.php results in a blank page. Including trying to post a comment. Comments that are nested are visible when viewed in flat mode.
Any ideas?

Replying to myself. Kinky.
Additional info. Both Safari and Firefox display the same behavior. There is nothing relating to this problem in error.log, so GL apparently thinks it's doing what it is supposed to do.
If you'd like to see it for yourself, visit mneptok.com and try to post a comment, or view a nested comment.

OK, so it was 50% PEBKAC and 50% poor documentation.
I have been running the SpamX plugin on my site for so long that it's now an afterthought for me. Part of SpamX proper usage is editing of comment.php. Once I re-edited comment.php with the necessary SpamX bits, all is well.
This leads me to two issues.
With a plugin as popular as SpamX, I think it would behoove all involved to put a reminder in the upgrade install instructions for upgrades that replace comment.php reminding users that that the file will need to be re-edited in order for comments to work and SpamX to function. Yes, I should remember every plugin I have installed and how each plugin interacts with the default pieces/parts of Geeklog, but I think this rather unlikely.
Second, the SpamX documentation reads:
Step 7: The final thing you must do is edit your comment.php (in public_html directory) and change the function savefunction name to savefunction1. The SpamX plugin should now be installed and functioning. Clicking on the SpamX Icon will take you to the admin page.
This should read:
Step 7: The final thing you must do is edit your comment.php (in public_html directory) and change the function savecomment name to savecomment1. The SpamX plugin should now be installed and functioning. Clicking on the SpamX Icon will take you to the admin page.
Hope that helps anyone else with similar issues.
