I followed the directions on the forum plugin, a bit confusing for a novice like me but I believe I installed correctly. When I opened the browser to do the install, it is telling me that I do not have root rights. I check the error log and got this "
11/11/2004 10:09:54 AM - Someone has tried to illegally access the forum install/uninstall page. User id: , Username: , IP: "

From the website the plugin is listed but when I click on the install button I get:

"Access Denied
Only Root Users have Access to this Page. Your user name and IP have been recorded." Any ideas?

I verified that I have root rights but it continues to deny and not install the forum plugin.

I just ripped everything out and did a total re-install and I've got the forum working.
If there are any newbies out there with Windows OS issues, I'd be glad to help.
