Just a note, many GL users upgrade to the latest GL like me for my test site from 1.3.9sr1 to 1.3.10rc2 only to see that our themes does not work.

1. You trade all functions for latest GL 1.3.10rc2 for default themes where all GL site running the latest version will look all the same.

2. You stay with your favourite theme only to loose out on trying the latest GL version.

I chose 2 in the end, my production sites runs older versions of GL as my users has grown accustom to my site's layout and i don't want a "my site looks like all other GL site running latest version" look.

Unless someone can update all the popular theme to the latest version before rolling out new GL version, i'll stick to old GL version even if there's a really big security problem but i'm happy to say, that's precisely the reason we chose GL, security is a top notch pirority!

I have always found themes pretty simple to update.

I have customized my theme heavily and it works great with just a few updates. They are easy peasy.

I do not know why your against the wall over this. Just update a few files and you are ready to rock and roll.
