I have my GL setup, it's working fine, except for one thing: I created a couple of groups, assigned some users. One of the topics is bound to one specific group. That group has only story.edit assigned. The user is only member of that specific group, nothing else.

How can it be that when I create a new article as that user, I can post it immediately in another topic, which is set to Topic Admin.

In config.php, storysubmission is set to 1. I don't know anything else to do

As long as a user has read access to a topic, they can post stories under that topic (as has been discussed before ...).

And if you give them story.edit permissions, they'll skip the submission queue. That right can not be restricted to a topic.
