Next step after a successful install

So, I think I'm close to having everything done. I've done all the install steps and now have a page that is a mixture of "Welcome to Geeklog", and welcome to "My site". All of the links on the page refer back to the same page, so, in essence, nothing works. How do I fix this?
Thank you to all who relpy with tips. I appreciate them!

Without more information, I can only guess: Make sure that $_CONF['site_url'] actually has the proper URL (with http:// etc.) of your site.
bye, Dirk

Have you looked at the path to your theme?

It is all buggered up, take a second look at all the variables in your config file again.
