Is it easily possible to customize the look fo the forumposts block? Right now it's a title/link, author, date, and views/replies. I would like to change it to Forum Category and title/link.

I don't currently set the forum category as a template variable that could be used in the layout. You do mean Category and not Forum Name correct?

Actually I meant the Forum Name. So under my Category of Malware Removal Help, I have a forum called Spyware Cleaners. So in the forumposts block, you would see Spyware Cleaners, break, The Name of the Topic.

Yep - that is an option in the settings of the forum.
With the newposts block, the forum name is a template variable so you can customize the display line if you want for that block. Look at the template file block_displayline.thtml under the forum folder in your theme. It may not be currently but {forum_name} is the template variable and it's set for each post line in the block.
[Edit] I was looking at the centerblock function. I'm not setting forum_name for the newposts block. You would have to modify the block function but thats not a biggie.

Thanks Blaine, I decided to go ahead and use the center block. Probably a better use of space too - and I like having it just appear on the front page.
I haven't decided whether or not I want to make the Forum Names in the center block a hyperlink to the forum list itself, but I think I can figure that out at this point if I go ahead and do that.
