Currently I have geeklog installed, but I have to enter http://www.mysite.com/geeklog
I would like my url to just be http://www.mysite.com
how can I do this? I searched, but come up with nothing useful...

I had the same thing, except for it was public_html.
I moved the contents of that directory into the root web directory, and made the corresponding changes to the config.php file.
That fixed the whole thing. Now it works great.

Yes, you can just copy all the files and then edit config.php appropriately.

for apache edit the httpd.conf
DocumentRoot "C:/???/webroot???/YourDocRoot/public_html"
ie. YOUR full path to public_html
