Just want to know how to go about modifying the events page so that

a) they do not have to enter the address etc in order to add an event
b) since I am from australia most the events probably wont be in a state already listed.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

You only have to enter a title and a description for the event anyway. Simply leave all the other fields blank.

The list of US states is in config.php. You can easily replace them with the names of the Australian equivalents (territories?) there.
