Hello guys,

I figured I have the answer to my question already. I see that if I install Forum Plugin, then I will automatically have Forum as a link at the top of my site. But If I create 10 Static Pages, each will be represented as well. Since having 10 Staticpages as links at the top may not look good to the naked eyes, how do I enjoy the Forum as an automatic link, and exclude Staticpages?

Am I correct in thinking that if I do not check the Add to Menu then It does not show up there? And secondly, if I disable automatic menu entry for my plugins in config.php, do I lose what I already have there?

Thanks

Ola

Dont add the static pages into the menu.
Make a custom block to add them.
You could write a small code that creates a bar or block also that would list all static pages that have a ID starting with "x_" etc.

What is the deal with the bar? Is there anything other than creating a normal block and putting the links to each page in the block? If there is another way with this code, I will be interested if you do not mind.

Thanks

hand code it into the header or footer files, put the links into a block and have a menu. Heck you could even make another static page that becomes a centerblock and display it there. If you know PHP you can do even more.

Why so harsh sounding?

The software has many abilities what the hack do you want to do? Your not all that clear and when you get an answer you sound upset. So be clearer about what your looking for not more obtuse and negative.

What are you trying to do????? Giving it a try

Thanks Scurvy,

I guess now I know why I sometimes don't get responses to some questions. But please, really please, I talk to you guys like I talk to people I have known too long, so maybe I don't come across well. But I have never been intentionslly rude or harsh, so if I really come across as harsh, I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE!!!

Now, concerning what I really want to do, it is that I do not know PHP at all, so you guys answer most of my problem questions here so it would be stupid of me to be harsh. If I know what the heck I am doing, then I can be harsh (lol). If you look at my postings, you will know that I have very little clue, but I have been learning. Just that I have not learned coding at all. (See how long I have been a member June '03 and I just learnt how to open a browser in another window couple of weeks ago) (lol)

So if you have a code that will work the way you explained, can you share a sample please?

Thanks
