Re-attaching a Comment

I changed one of my story's SID (not longer than 20) and lost the comment.
Is there a way to re-attach it through the PHPMyAdmin?
I changed the SID of the comment to match the story, but it doesn't work. Anything else I need to do?

This looks like a bug. I tested and got the same thing you did. Here is what I did in my PHPMyAdmin:
Lets say if you had 2 comments. You have to change the SID of the comment, like you did. Then you have to go to your gl_stories, and find the row containing the new SID for the story, and change the comments to 2. Now your comments will be attached to story on your news pages.
