Hi,
One of my users brought this to my attention and I haven't a clue what to do about it.
If there's a comment already posted against an article, there doesn't appear to be anyway to leave a 2nd first level comment against this same article. Basically, the user wants to comment on the article not on the first comment that's already been left.
Any one know if this is possible ?

I have begun to use Geeklog as a communication tool at my university. I also found it difficult to see the "reply" button in question, and my students had the same problem.
I think we saw "post a comment" on the new article and automatically started looking for similar language on the full article page. When a) we didn't see the language and b) the grey bar didn't draw our attention, we were lost!
I chose to solve my problem by altering two files---
Step One:
Edit this file
/public_html/geeklog/layout/theme_name/style.css
Original style:
.commentbar2 {
background:#e7e7e7;
border-bottom:1px solid #FFFFFF;
border-top:1px solid #FFFFFF;
font:75% Tahoma,verdana,helvetica,arial,sans-serif
}
New style:
.commentbar2 {
background:#536A2B;
border-bottom:1px solid #FFFFFF;
border-top:1px solid #FFFFFF;
font:75% Tahoma,verdana,helvetica,arial,sans-serif
}
You are changing the background to a color that stands out and works with the rest of the theme. I was using dark green.
Step two: There is a language folder, /geeklog_system/language/english.php
Original value
$LANG01 = array(
. . . long list of strings. . .
25 => 'Reply',
New value
$LANG01 = array(
. . .long list of strings . . .
25 => 'Reply or Post',
This might not be the best solution, but it seemed to work. If this will break something else, you might let me know! Maybe it will help someone else.
