I recently updated my site to Geeklog 1.3.11 and Gallery to 1.4.4-pl4. At first Gallery wasn't properly integrated inside Geeklog. I couldn't find any relevant info on this site, but I eventually found the solution on Gallery forum. Just in case anyone is looking here for the solution, you need to remove or rename two files:
- public_html/gallery/html_wrap/wrapper.footer and
- public_html/gallery/html_wrap/wrapper.header.
More info at this topic on the Gallery forum.

A huge THANKYOU to 'rv8' for posting, I have also been pulling out hair and surfing through posts looking for the answer to this for a few days. It was this post and the info at the link regarding removing 2 files that resolved the issue for me.
This is what forums are for.
Thanks again, you did help at least one person.

Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
I've been trying to find a solution for this all day, I was almost about to give up YOU ROCK!
I have:
Geeklog version 1.3.11
Gallery version 1.4.4-pl6
I renamed the files
public_html/gallery/html_wrap/wrapper.footer
public_html/gallery/html_wrap/wrapper.header
to
public_html/gallery/html_wrap/wrapper.footer.bak
public_html/gallery/html_wrap/wrapper.header.bak
and Presto Change-o! i it worked!
I now have a fully integrated Geeklog with Gallery.
Thanks a bunch,
Kolomona

Did you enter your geeklog path in the gallery setup?

Yes, I entered the geeklog path in gallery's setup. There is one slightly non-standard thing about my site that might come into play - my geeklog site is in a directory one level down from the public_html directory. But that hasn't caused me any other grief, so I doubt it is to blame here.
