I just uploaded v0.7 of the Easyfile file management plugin. It contains the following improvements:
- Full support for GL Comments (on a file-by-file basis)
- GL autolinks via the autotag
- Email notification on file approval
As well as a few layout changes and some bug fixes.
There was a slight database change in order to implement comments, so if you have a v0.6 installation, run /admin/plugins/easyfile/upgrade-06-07.php to upgrade.
That concludes all the major features that I plan to implement for v1.0. The 0.7-series will now focus on bug-fixing, eye-candy and resolving the important parts of the TODO-list:
- Add an administrative warning when the basedir is a subdir of public_html since that would make all access rights moot
- Format the file display date according to the user's locale
- Ability to move just the contents of folders
- Fix behaviour when a user is deleted. What happens to that users files? Who will the new owner be? This is currently not handled at all
- What happens to the files when the plugin is uninstalled? Deleted? Renamed to proper names? Right now, they're left the way they are.
- Fix behaviour when plugin is disabled. Right now it's not sane
Any thoughts on this?
I need to work on my Real Life(tm) for a few weeks now, so don't expect 0.7.1 until February unless there are problems with this release.
