Anybody get the Daily Dilbert function to work. I can't get it to work. Anybody have any clues?

I guess it was not that hard then
Hope you liked the block - adds a bit of fun to the site
It is pretty much self contained and a good example of using a WebService if anyone is interested. This particular webserice also has a method to retrieve the link or URL only to the DailyDilbert comic image.
The method I am using currenty retrieves the binary image and recreates a local copy of the image. The image is retrieved only once per day and then referenced as the local image.
I was thinking afterwards that when you click on the daily cartoon image you could be sent to a page that showed the last 5 cartoons - with the site left and right blocks around it. That way your not bringing up a somewhat blank page. Then add the logic as well to delete any older images.

I just got it working on my site. I had to change the permissions on the "comics" directory to 777 in order for it to work.
Thanks for the plugin, Blaine

This would be nice as I have limited space on my web host account .Then add the logic as well to delete any older images.
Cheers

You can also now see this running on my site - the new improved version
- Click on thumbnail in block to show the archive
- set the number of days to cache images
- remove older image file so it's self maintaining
I think I will include this as a added benefit to anyone that buys one of my premium plugins or contributes to my development efforts
