Pointing different domains to same Geeklog install
Hello,
Is it possible to have two different domains go to the same Geeklog install?
If so, is it possible to have a different header or top logo area be displayed, depending upon which domain the viewer originated from?
I am contemplating changing the primary domain name for my site and want to transition readers to the new site, as word of it gets out, but still allow people with old bookmarks or old habits get there also. The new header/top area would reflect the new site name but the body and articles on the site would remain constant througout.
Thanks,
Lou

why not just use a redirect with a notice to update bookmarks.
like this:
<head>
<title>my website</title>
<META
http-equiv="refresh" content="5;URL=http://mynewwebsite">
</head>
<body>
<h2>You will be redirected to my new website automatically
in 5 seconds.<br><br>
Please update your bookmarks. The correct page is at <a
href="http://mynewwebsite">http://mynewwebsite</a>
</h2>
</body>
</html>
like this:
Text Formatted Code
<html><head>
<title>my website</title>
<META
http-equiv="refresh" content="5;URL=http://mynewwebsite">
</head>
<body>
<h2>You will be redirected to my new website automatically
in 5 seconds.<br><br>
Please update your bookmarks. The correct page is at <a
href="http://mynewwebsite">http://mynewwebsite</a>
</h2>
</body>
</html>

The re-direct info will be useful. Thanks.
I do want to have both domain names pointing to the same GL install for a while however, so re-directs aren't needed yet. It's a long story, but both need to be online at the same time.
Oh well, thanks anyway.
