Changing story image properties...

Is there a way to change the hspace and vspace settings for images in stories? Some of the text runs into the image and i thought this would be an easy fix. i tried modifying style.css but that didn't work. Thanks for any help!! i'm using geeklog 1.3.11.

Off the top of my head, make sure that you wrap the text in paragraph tags. w3c mentions that text will run into images if they are not wrapped properly.
