Hello Everybody. I'm looking into starting another new site, with the help of some friends. We love geeklog and each have our own personal geeklog site. We are going to be creating a site for a non-profit, but we are in a pickel, we would ideally like to have one managment piece for our users. Think of it like this, we will have a shopping cart, a fourm, blog journals, gallery, classifieds, auction, private messages, newsletter and more. Evreything, but ideally we would want only one database. I know gl can handle most of the requirements, we are mainly looking at the gallery, and ecommerce functionality. One login one password, gets it all. Anybody doing this currently? Anybody have any ideas?

Why dont you just search here in the forum for each type of plugin you need, and of course also in the downloads?

90% of what you want exists as plugins for geeklog and therefore use only one database, one login one password.

Try to install what you need oirst and then, if something apparently does not exist or does not work, come back and ask, I am sure you will get concrete answres to concrete questions.

I know there are plugins for everything.

Except maybe the shopping cart and Auction. I know there is an OScommerce bridge but from what I have seen it is a bit kludgy.

Other than those two all requirements are met within the current set of plugins. If anyone knows of an ecommerce solution for GL that does not look like frankenstein I would like to see it.

Blah Blah Blah Blah ...

Is there actually some workflow solution? Something open, not specialized for B2B or so, rather plain project management?

If not, I will have to write something small

I'm sure I'm just mssing something obvious, but I'd like to find an organized directory of what plugins are available. So far all I know to do is hit the top-of-page "downloads" link, then "plugins", and I then get a list apparantly ordered descending by submit-date.

Do we have another way to browse thru available plugins? Thanks!

OK Dr.

You got me, it looks amazing. Now to get your OSC to look as much like your GL as you have must take a lot of work.

This looks fantastic, you have shown me to be the big dork I am.

Could we chat about this sometime? Do you use any IM software? I can hook up via MSN Messenger and ICQ currently.

I will PM you my details. Let me know.
