I have 1600+ users on the site and using the group email send had become almost impossible.... it times out and doesn't complete the page when sending and i haven't been able to determine if it keeps sending or terminates when it times out.

Is there a different way (faster easier) to send group email than the default methord and still work from within GL?

Geeklog's email functions aren't really made for "mass emailing". There's a related task for the daily digest (which has the same problem) if someone wants to contribute some code ...

Ok thanks for that.... I sorta gather by the sluggishness that it wasn't all that efficient... So i will use the list function on the server...

Now that brings me to the other question which is downloading a list of users..... from the site rather than going into phpMyAdmin on the server and stumbling... need a need solution i can give a site admin to do.

If there isn't any code written does someone want a job writng it for me?
